
R.W.Bro. Doug Studer was elected and installed as Senior Grand Warden on February 4, 2022.
Prior to his service as Junior Grand Warden he has served in the Sessions and Arrangements Committee and is currently serving as a member of the Alaska Masonic Library and Museum’s Board of Directors.
Douglas John Studer was raised a Master Mason on January 27, 2009 in King Leopold 1st Lodge #3 of the Regular Grand Lodge of Belgium (RGLB).
Having been a member of the United States Army, his travels have taken him around the world and given him opportunities to travel in other jurisdictions. He is currently sitting a member of Matanuska Lodge No. 7, and has served as Worshipful Master in 2020 and 2021.
In addition to his Grand Lodge and Blue Lodge labors, Doug is a life member of the Alaska York Rite, a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Anchorage, and the Al Aska Shrine Temple.
In 2014 he moved to Alaska after spending his entire career trying to get stationed in Alaska (he had to retire to move here). His military career included six tours to the desert and culminated in his retirement as a CW3. Upon arriving in Alaska he started working as a DOD employee on JBER and is now working as the Network Systems Engineer for the Alaska National Guard. In his spare-time he enjoys hiking, sailing, and playing his bagpipes.
